Seamore's opens up in Henley Beach

Henley Beach is constantly WOW-ing us with their new establishments that are taking up residence in this beautiful and beachy suburb of Adelaide. The newest member to nestle themselves in the heart of the Square is Seamore's, which is a Vanzati family venture - Louise, Bo (mum and dad), Lukas and Mattis (brothers) - that form the business team of chefs, bakers and designers responsible for popular businesses such as MALOBO, New Nordic, Hermanos Cubanos, and Swedish Tarts.

Transforming the space that was formerly known to locals as the Sandbar nightclub, the newest beach bar and restaurant offers its customers with an inviting space, which is illuminated by plenty of sunshine and natural lighting - a stark and rather pleasant contrast to its previous look that was primarily dimly-lit. A spacious venue across two storeys that can house up to 260 people at a time, the design of their space is eclectic and unique, where they have drawn inspiration from the heritage of the site and community and have decorated it with artwork by James Brown.

We wanted to create a space that would be relevant and stand on its own for decades to come while being respectful to the building's heritage. - Mattis Vanzati (co-owner, Seamore's)

With a great balance of private dining areas thanks to their booth-style seating and more social hangout spots that are perched outdoors on their balcony that can seat up to 60 people at one time, customers can expect to enjoy the sea-breeze and freshness from the lush greenery that further injects a homey and cozy vibe to this 100-year old establishment. The revamped space has carefully preserved the archways and architecture that make this heritage building a thoroughly beautiful sight for sore eyes, whilst being given a facelift through their fresh paint coats in a fun and punchy colour palette of pastel pinks, blues, and creams, which are complemented by their dark emerald green booths, hot-red tables and chairs, and bright yellow-tiled sections that make exploring the establishment a real treat! Couple it with the views of the ocean and you have yourself a very stunning dining and wining set-up.

Enjoying a prime location along Henley Square with upcoming balmy evenings, the menu at Seamore's has been carefully curated by Head Chef Chris Zechmeister to bring to its customers a delicious mix of options that combines New York Italian and Australian Surf Club style flavours. From handmade fresh pasta (such as Carbonara, Positano Pesto, Pavia Ragu, and La Spezia), to long-ferment pizzas and hoagies (such as falafels, meatballs, and parmigiana), it's no surprise that people will be able to feed themselves into a hearty food coma.

Love pizza as much as I do and would prefer to enjoy a bottomless feast? Well, you're in luck, because Seamore's also has an awesome deal of unlimited pizzas and bellinis from 1pm - 3pm at $59 per person, so if you are looking at getting an extended lunch with your favourite people, I guess I'll see you there! Seamore's will also be providing the goods with a different $23 special every day of the week that may include a pasta, a pizza, beer-battered fish and chips, or a chicken schnitzel - simply refer to their menu to see what tickles your fancy and prepare to enjoy it with a side of beer or wine of your choice (that is included in the special)!

For drinks, you can't ask for a better view of the ocean and the beach, as you sip on house botanical-infused gins, barrel-aged Negronis, Bellinis, Mojitos, Margaritas, and spritzers, in addition to local and international wines and beers, as enjoy the chilled-out beachy house music daily (with a resident DJ playing disco beats on Friday and Saturday nights) that is bound to excite their customers for a dance and a drink (or few) under the shiny disco ball.

With a focus to offer the community with a social spot that offers spectacular views of the ocean that can be easily accessed from a beautiful, heritage establishment that has been given a modern revamp and creates affordable eats that will give you a taste of continental flavours, Seamore's in Henley Beach hopes to welcome groups of people who will come together for a feast and a drink in one of the most bustling suburbs in Adelaide this coming summer! Whether you're after a casual drink and a feed or are looking to host a function or an event, Seamore's will have you covered with their versatile space and meal offerings that can be catered to a wide audience with much ease.

Seamore's that opened their doors to the public on Friday (December 6, 2019) is located in the heart of Henley Square and will be open seven days a week from 11am - late.
