All beaches are pretty much the same, however this is the one that I went to with my neighbours, so I thought I'd share my time there!

We turned up at the beach at 1pm and Anabell and Craig dove straight in the water. They loved splashing around and catching waves on the body boards. I set clear rules and said they had to stay in the water where I could see them and not wonder too deep or too far away. The kids respected the rules and I only had to remind Craig once that jellyfish are not meant to be picked up!

Seaford beach is a great place to take the kids to enjoy a nice summer day out because it lets them be active, imaginative and cool off while having a fun time.

Craig even made a few friends while he helped Annabell make a sandcastle. Two girls that were his age came over and started helping, I bet he liked that.

At 3pm, the kids were extremely hungry from all of that play in the water, luckily Seaford beach as a nice little eat-in restaurant a few steps away, So we all dried off, put some clothes over our bathers and we had a nice bite to eat before heading back over to the beach.

The kids ran around in the water again, made sandcastles, wriggled their toes in the sand and even collected some beautiful shells. I even witnessed them playing mermaid and pirate together, which was sweet because they were being imaginative.

I liked taking the kids to the beach because it wasn't a place where they constantly needed me - they were having too much fun playing together in the water.

When it was time to leave, we cleaned ourselves up, put on our clothes and headed home. The only thing you have to watch out for is the ice-cream truck! It pulled up just as we were leaving, luckily the kids agreed to just eat the ice-cream they had at home.

When I asked Craig his rating for his day at the beach he gave it a 10/10 because he got to run around and cool down in the water, Annabell howver gave it a 9/10, because she didn't get to see a real mermaid. Aww!
