A fireworks battle on the beach set to sci-fi themed music

The Gold Coast is the place to be right now with so many great events and activities happening over the holidays.

End the holiday with a bang with Seafire this Saturday 9 April 2016.

The event is held on the water at Surfers Paradise beach.

What could be better than a night sitting on the beach with friends and families watching a fireworks fight?

Celebrate the Gold Coast's love of water, beach and pyrotechnics with Seafire.

Three separate fireworks displays will be launched off two barges anchored just beyond the break. Teams of the best pyrotechnic experts Queensland has to offer go head to head in the skies over the water, lighting up the night sky with the latest in amazing fireworks all timed to a pumping beat of great tunes. Themed to coincide with Supanova Pop Culture being held over this weekend at the Gold Coast Convention Centre, the music will be an amazing sci-fi themed soundtrack - think Indiana Jones meets Star Wars - sure to bring a smile to every child's face. This event is also the official after part of Supa Nova so look out for pop culture fans dressed up in all manner of fun dress up.

The event starts at 7pm so grab an early dinner in one of the nearby restaurants with family or bring a picnic down to the beach and get ready to enjoy a fireworks display like you'e never seen.

What a fun romantic night out - everyone loves the beach and everybody loves fireworks - how could you resist a combination of both.

If you're taking public transport to Seafire, the G:link will be running 10 minute tram services for Seafire between 7pm and 10pm Saturday 9 April to help you get to and from the event. Please note that standard G:link fares will be in effect.
