Part of the Seabourn fleet, Seabourn Encore will dock at Darwin's Fort Hill Wharf East Berth at 6.30 am on Tuesday 6 March 2018, giving Darwin's cruise ship fans the opportunity to view her cruising into port just on first light.

Built in 2015-16 and delivered in November 2016, Seabourn Encore's official naming ceremony was held in Singapore in January 2017 prior to departing on her maiden voyage; a 10 day cruise to Indonesia.



At 210 metres in length and with 9 guest decks, Seabourn Encore carries just 600 passengers and is touted to be the next evolution in small ship cruising. Seabourn Encore comes to Darwin on her 28 night Australia and Java Sea Gems Cruise.

Since commencing her cruise in Sydney in late February, Seabourn Encore has enjoyed the delights of Tangalooma, Mooloolaba, Hamilton Island, Townsville and Cairns. Spending two full days in Darwin, she will once again depart at 6 pm on Wednesday 7 March 2018, with her onward journey taking her to Indonesia and Singapore.

Being in the small ship cruises category does not mean that guests aboard Seabourn Encore miss out on the variety of attractions offered to those who choose bigger ships. Guests can choose from five different dining experiences with all venues offering the finest quality ingredients and authentic regional flavours. Choosing from The Restaurant, The Grill by Thomas Keller, Sushi, The Colonnade or The Patio gives guests the opportunity to indulge in a variety of styles and cuisines.



A range of activities are offered to guests from Shopping with the Chef, Seabourn Square, and Spa and Wellness with Dr Andrew Weil to card rooms, a fitness centre, duty free shopping and The Retreat. There are six whirlpools and two swimming pools ensuring there is plenty of room available for all.



A range of night life ensures that guests are not bored after dark. Enjoy an Evening Under the Stars, Observation Bar, Sky Bar, The Patio Bar, Grand Salon, Casino or The Club. The Grand Salon is the place for lectures, cooking demonstrations and movies for daytime entertainment. At night guests enjoy dancing, cabaret performances, comedy and classical recitals.



At the end of the day, guests retire to their suite previously chosen from Wintergarden, Signature, Owners, Penthouse Spa, Penthouse and Veranda categories, all with their special luxuries and amenities.



Great locations to view Seabourn Encore as she cruises into or out of port are from Bicentennial Park on The Esplanade or the Darwin Waterfront Sky Bridge. Parking is available in the Deck Chair Cinema car park when the cinema is closed.

Seabourn Encore will return to Darwin's Fort Hill Wharf for one last visit in 2018 at 6.30 am on Sunday 9 December 2018, departing at 6 pm.

This is a great opportunity to bring the little ones along to see the big ships.
