Sculpture by the Sea is one of Australia's biggest outdoor exhibitions, and it's free. Whether you're an artistic person or not, you will enjoy this event.

There are over 70 artists, from Australia and across the world, who participate in this exhibition.

Chen Wenling - Red Memory Smile (2009)

The exhibition is a mix of contemporary sculptures and the concept is to place them all over the beach. Set on two different beaches over Australia (Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk, Sydney, Australia and Cottesloe Beach, Perth, Western Australia), Sculpture by the Sea welcomes over 20,000 people, every year. The sculptures are placed all over the beach, in the most random places too, so the trick is too look out or you'll miss out on some crazy stuff.

Steve Croquette - Jolly Giants (2009)

I've been to three Sculpture by the Sea exhibitions in Perth and it was great to see that with each year the sculptures were so different to the previous ones. From funny and unexpected to clever and beautiful;you will definitely be entertained.

Tom de Munk-Kermeer - Luchtkasteel (Castle in the Air) (2009)

Not that I am the artistic type, but I think Sculpture by the Sea provides us with a great experience of seeing and feeling things through art and discussing them with friends.

Ayad Alqaragholli - Farewell Kiss (2009)

Sculpture by the Sea also has an indoor exhibition and some of the sculptures, both outdoor and indoor, can be purchased. The sculptures are there all day, so you can come at any time you want, providing it's still daylight.
