Don't stay home this winter because . Sculptors Queensland would like to invite Artists and those who enjoy Art to their Monthly Forum Nights and Weekly Studio Sessions offered this winter for adults.

The Forum Nights ( First Tuesday of the month) are informative and inspirational with very talented artists, involved in a variety of mediums, who share their passion, skills and techniques. Following the presentation, in a social atmosphere, enjoy informal chats with the artist and light refreshments. Forum Nights are free and open to the public and start at 7:30 PM.

Sculptors Queensland Shed, behind the Old Museum Building, Cnr Gregory Tce & Bowen Bridge Rd, Bowen Hills

Tuesday, July 7th, Forum Night, 7:30 pm - Ryan Daffurn (above) will exhibit and speak about some of his current paintings as well as his up coming residency in Leipzig, Germany. Ryan will speak about Leipzig Spinnerei, once the largest spinning mill on the continent, which has been converted into galleries and art workshop spaces.

Tuesday, Aug. 4th Forum Night, 7:30 pm - Steve Bodrog will provide a very inspirational evening where he will share some of his skills, techniques and thought processes that he uses to create abstract sculptural forms (see above). Steve will also speak on his background of hand-making bodywork for some of the world's rarest and valuable motor cars. In addition, he will speak at length about the history of the Coach-building industry from 1900 to the present.

Tuesday , Sept. 1st Forum Night, 7:30 pm - Lisa Brown is a commercial photographer (photo above) and owner of Faun Photography. She has a Bachelor of Photography from the Queensland College of Art ( Griffith University). Lisa will share some of her techniques and expertise in photographing 3D work for exhibitions and personal portfolios.

    Weekly, starting Thursday, July 9th, 7:00 to 9:00 pm

    $12.00 members - $15.00 non members

    BYO drawing materials, easels available, some drawing boards

  • Long Pose - Life Sculpting Sessions (non-tutored)

    2nd Saturday of the month, starting Saturday, July 11th

    Sessions specially created to provide Long Poses ideal for Sculptors. Also great for Painting and Drawing

    Three hours - 10 am to 1pm

    Friendly fun atmosphere

    Morning Tea provided, coffee and cake

    $22.50 for members, $25 for non-members
