The Gold Coast's Premier Carols Event is on Christmas Eve at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre. Scrooge, a Christmas Spectacular is a Christmas gift from METRO Church to the Gold Coast community. It is advertised as: "a beautiful evening of carolling, fun and laughter in the true Christmas spirit". Proceeds from the night go towards local community service groups and aid.

Family tickets start at just $20 and individual tickets are $10. There are also some GFC (Global Financial Crisis) tickets available which have been generously funded by local businesses. So for those who cannot afford the ticket price, this sponsored initiative in the true spirit of Christmas, means you don't have to miss out.

Book online or by calling 1800 008 375. Doors open at 5pm and seats are non-allocated and will be filled on a first come basis. The show starts at 6pm until around 8pm.

It's easy to be a Scrooge; a Scrooge it's easy to be
It's easy to forget your neighbour and say, "All that matters is me".

"There's a tale of old Ebenezer, he's the Scrooge we know so well
But when you look in the mirror, is there a Scrooge at all to tell?
For every Christmas his spirit lives on and who will wear the hat?
For a Scrooge can be any one of us, and that, my friends, is that.
"
