Jan Lowe is an accomplished artist who currently holds the office of Vice President & Editor of the acclaimed International Society of Scratchboard Artists.
She has been a board member of AGRA for 9 years and has been the recipient of many awards for her artworks, including her scratchboard art.
Jan invites you to learn more about this medium and illustrative technique with her upcoming one day workshop, entitled "Taking Scratch to the Next Level— Gumtrees and Shimmering Water."
The workshop will be held at AGRA Galleries in Camberwell on Wednesday 20th April 2016 from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
It will be held in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, with Jan demonstrating a range of special scratching techniques that participants will be able to use in their own artworks. The subject of the workshop is gumtrees and shimmering water and together you'll discover just how versatile scratchboard can be.
This is a great opportunity to see how scratchboard brings paintings to life and you are sure to learn new skills which you can further experiment with and develop at home.
If this is your first time in the workshop, you will be invited to start with an animal of your choice.
A basic kit will be provided on the day.
Bookings are essential, please click here to reserve a seat. A materials list will be provided upon payment.
The participation fee is $70 for AGRA members and $85 for non-members.
