And I thought scouts only played with ropes and compasses
South Australia may have lost the Grand Prix event, but there will be plenty of excitement for motor racing enthusiasts this weekend when the latest event in the Australian Rally Championships hits Adelaide.
The Scouts Rally is open to all rally cars, both 2WD and 4WD. Australia's and SA's leading drivers will be entering and over 60 entrants are expected.
So rug up and head for the hills over this weekend, and enjoy the thrills and spills inherent in rally sports. There are a range of recommended spectator vantage points listed on the website. And if you're a real enthusiast you will be watching the crews service their cars right in the heart of Adelaide at Edwards Park (northern side of Anzac Hwy just before West Tce).
Just remember, those nasty camera snappers will probably be out in force too, so don't try to be a contestant on our roads.
