Strathspeys and Reels Await
Scottish Country Dance does not involve carefully stepping over a pair of swords in a kilt.
Country Dance is done as a couple in sets. It is quite energetic and dancers learn precise stepping. It is a great cardio exercise and much more fun than going to the gym.
You don't need a partner as there are many singles in each group. Partners change during the evening, so you get to meet a lot of new people.

The Gap Club (like all SCD Clubs) is a not-for-profit organisation. The Learn to SCD program is sponsored by the Queensland Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dancing Society.
There are other RSCDS classes featured on the website if the Gap or St Philip's are not convenient.
