If anything is in abundance in Dubai, it's restaurants. Fast food, fine dining, chain restaurants---Dubai has it all.
As the sweat inducing season of Dubai begins, indoor seating and inactive pass times that are just as enjoyable as the former are in need. Jumeirah Beach Residence, as known as JBR, is not short of visitors, as the weather is on the brink of allowing people to sulk in the bearable sun long enough to walk down JBR's cobblestone sidewalks and into any restaurant of their choice to take a breather from the mall's crowded halls.
Among the multi-cultural and diverse choice of restaurants is the above average sushi restaurant
Scoozi.
Its red colors and corner location is a recipe to lure you in for an open sushi bar adventure. Sure, you can choose to sit away from the crowd and order from the menu but it is advisable to come hungry and inform the waiters that you're here for the all you can eat sushi buffet, made and presented to you right before your eyes. The downfall is that if the chefs want to exit, then they have to squeeze themselves through the small doorway underneath the bar.
Join the round table for a diverse choice of sushi specials. From the crunchy sushi, tempura style to sashimi, shrimp and veggie clad sushi it is definitely not a boring sushi bar. All you can eat, fast service and a complimentary soup or salad is enough to rate Scoozi one of the top sushi bars I've attended. The thin slices of cucumber, crab, caviar, Japanese mayonnaise and tempura crumbs that make up the salad are a recipe for the ultimate salad I've ever tasted. If you feel the least bit bashful to ask for seconds, you can grab the sushi rotating on the belt in the style of the salad and enjoy it just the same.
Once you get past what wasabi is supposed to taste like - eye watering, mouth twisting and air gasping - you can continue to try the sweets... if your insides can handle it. Their chocolate fondant was nothing short of delectable, as the melted fudge seared through the soft chocolate cake and into the ice cream.
You can only have sushi at a trustworthy restaurant because its raw features call for cleanliness and Scoozi is definitely a sushi bar to try.
