From Buderim to Cooroy, from the hinterland to the coast,
Scone Time 2023 is back with a dollop ... of cream! Local communities are putting their hands up to support local Sunshine Coast Foodie, Martin Duncan, to ensure that these fabulous community morning teas become as legendary as the unique heritage venues where they are held.

From Buderim to Cooroy, Scone Time 2023 is back with a dollop ... of cream!
Sunshine Coast Foodie first got the idea of Scone Time from a video that popped up on his Facebook feed, relating to loneliness and disconnect experienced by the community's treasured seniors. Martin,
aka Sunshine Coast Foodie, has always believed that people can relate to scones and loves using his scones to connect people, whether it be to host monthly catch ups between traders or, in this instance, creating opportunities for the young-at-heart to socialise through a Scone Time event.
The very first Scone Time was launched in 2018 in the revitalised Cooroy Memorial Hall, before extending the tradition to Montville Village Hall, Bankfoot House in the Glass House Mountains, Caloundra, Nambour Tram Terminus and now Beerwah has been added to this impressive venue list. As well as putting life back into our historical old buildings, Scone Time ensures that our senior young-at-hearts feel more connected to their communities, at a regular fun social outing.

The perfect ingredient mix
All local businesses are invited to contribute financially to help subsidise the cost of a Scone Time get-together in their community. Alternatively, donation of time is a fabulous option to get involved - either with volunteering or table hosting - or perhaps simply by paying it forward for a guest (and carer) to attend one of these social outings, as a one-off attendance. With the continued involvement of local companies, these social events will generate a positive social outcome in the community and enough income to continue covering the running costs, thereby ensuring Scone Time's ongoing success.
General Admission for Scone Time -
Still ONLY $8, which includes morning tea of scones with tea or freshly brewed coffee
Sponsorship of either $25 or $50 - contributions will be acknowledged.
Sponsorship provides an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing subsidisation of providing morning tea to our treasured seniors, their carers and families, at a reasonable price.

General Admission ONLY $8 per person ... cream on top or cream underneath?
