SCO 20th Anniversary Gala Concert: International Master Showcase – Joshua Bell with SCO

Singapore Chinese Orchestra celebrates its 20th anniversary with a gala concert. World famous violin virtuoso Joshua Bell will collaborate with SCO for the first time. He had recorded Concerto No. 1 in E major, Op.8, RV "La Primavera" (Spring) composed by Antonio Vivaldi. Bell recorded this well-loved spring melody with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, released under Sony's label in 2008.



This is a concert of Classical repertoire through modern interpretation by an extraordinaire violinist, and a well-seasoned conductor! The orchestra will perform pieces from Chinese composers such as the late Liu Tian Hua, Wu Hou Yuan, Ruan Kun Shen, Liu Xing, and Chuan Joon Hee. Mr Chuan is an accomplished Huqin musician in Singapore and is currently a Zhonghu performer in the Singapore Chinese Orchestra.
