I took my seven year old cousin Lyle to visit Scienceworks and he absolutely loved it. Lyle is the type of kid who prefers playing video games but when I suggested going to Scienceworks on the school holidays, he actually seemed really interested.

My all time favorite part of Scienceworks is the giant house with all the interesting things to do within the house. Lyle and I learnt about bed bugs, how certain fruits rot, how a washing machine works and much more! Lyle's favorite part of the house was the big steps and the tunnel, he also liked learning new things about what was around his house.
After we explored the house, Lyle and I went over to the sport section, Lyle had the best time racing against the pretend Kathy Freeman, he also liked kicking the football and tennis ball around in the mini expo's they had.
The fun didn't just end indoors, we enjoyed the nice sunshine outside, there was a unique playground which Lyle loved. We also spoke to each other from opposite ends of the oval, using a special sound machine that was provided.
Lyle mentioned to me that he had never had so much fun learning, it was a great way to get out of the house and do something fun, yet educational while he was out of school for a while.
Lyle said he wanted to go again and hoped that his school would go there on an excursion.
The day was really fun and also really cheap which made it that much enjoyable.
