During the Autumn Easter School Holidays, Scienceworks Museum is conducting a large-scale art-science experiment. In an idea conceived by artist Briony Barr, and in collaboration with astrophysicist Andrew Melatos, the floor-based drawing will come to life using only coloured tape.

Applying simple rules relating to the 'structure of the universe', the eventual design will depend entirely on the participants involved.

Other Autumn School Holiday activities at Scienceworks include live performance Astro Adventure in the amphitheatre. The Light Spectacular show in the Lightning Room will 'open your eyes to light's full spectrum; microwaves, radio waves and more from beyond the rainbow.'

The Melbourne Planetarium is a very unique experience and offers a great selection of outer space themed short movies year round. In addition, there are regular and ever-changing exhibits on offer. Before you leave, be sure to take a guided tour round the Pumping Station to learn the 'smelly side of Melbourne's history'.

Kids enjoy FREE entry to Scienceworks . Adult tickets $14. Additional costs apply for the Planetarium and Lightening Room.
