on Wednesday 18 August 2021 from 10.30am to 11.30am AWST at Gosnells Knowledge Centre, Lyal Richardson Hall, 2232D Albany Highway, Gosnells will teach you as to how you can turn your backyard into an edible garden that just keeps on giving. Mark Tucek from Tucker Bush is a certified horticulturist and nursery professional.

He founded the Tucker Bush project, first, to popularise and make available native edibles in our modern lifestyle and cuisine, both through home growing and gourmet cooking. Secondly to help young Australians grow up with a stronger connection to nature and their food supply. And thirdly, to encourage the preservation of Australia's food security and biodiversity through growing species that thrive in our soils and climate.

Register here to attend this FREE event so you too can embark on a journey of filling your backyard with unique and delicious bush tucker fruits, roots, nuts, seeds and leaves. It's the food that has sustained generations of Aboriginal peoples for centuries and it's part of our rich and vibrant cultural history that also introduces a truly local flavour to our modern cuisine. An event for adults, bookings are essential and only attend if you are well and follow government health measures.
