A mum of three, engineer, scientist, educator, and all around dabbler, I'm far better at finding interesting things to do than I am at doing housework.
Scien-terrific school holiday fun
If you have primary school age children who love science, especially biological sciences, then this event is for you!
From the 5th until the 9th of January, PrimeSci will be presenting summer holiday science workshops at Coolart Wetlands and Homestead Reserve. PrimeSci regularly offers a popular school holiday science program in Wantirna, and this is a fine opportunity for those living or holidaying on the Mornington Peninsula to join in the fun.
Science in the Park Sessions are aimed at children going into grades 3,4,5 or 6 in 2015, and cost $25 for a two hour workshop. Each workshop is full of hands on science, and is sure to keep your little scientists entertained and learning!
Workshops are available on Australian Biodiversity, Freshwater Habitats, Secret Life of Plants & Forces of Nature. The wetlands and other ecosystems at Coolart provide a fabulous venue to delve into these topics in the field.
Looks like a freshwater habitat to me!
