Parents, carers and children of all ages will really enjoy this sneak peek into the future. The Science Fiction, Science Future Exhibition shows visitors how the practicalities of teleportation, holograms, invisibility and mind control are closer than you think. We were impressed by the wide range of hands on exhibits and their clear operating instructions.
As you first walk in to the Science Fiction, Science Future exhibit at the Sciencentre, a clever robot will be ready to mimic your facial gestures and emotional reactions. Both adults and children will have fun experimenting with invisibility - you can watch yourself disappear and reappear over and over or watch yourself being "beamed up" in seconds to another mysterious realm.

We were mesmerised by the 3D holograms appearing out of a mobile phone and all took turns competing in our own mini "mind Olympics", where the competitor with the strongest mind is the winner (in our family, it was certainly not me). Among many other activities, children will keep busy checking out the "wormhole", designing their own cyborg or trying out all the permanent exhibits at the Sciencentre itself (they also conduct Holiday Science Theatre Shows during Queensland school holidays).
