As part of National Science Week, the Science Centre will be hosting an open day with free tours on Saturday the 11th of August 2018 for all those who are interested in the behind-the-scenes. On these tours, you get to go behind the scenes, meet the scientists, explore the centre, look at rare collections and see the research facilities up close.

There will be three tour topics to choose from - Ichthyology & Archives, Marine Invertebrates & Entomology, and Herpetology & Mammalogy. Bookings are required via their website although the tours are actually free. Do note though that these tours have been developed for an adult audience and thus are not really suitable for children.

The Science Centre, located within the South Australian Museum, is Adelaide's hub of scientific research. There will be signs directing you to the centre from the main museum building.
