Science Alive is back this year with over sixty returning exhibitions plus some new exciting ones too. The event focuses on hands-on dynamic interactive fun which is also educational at the same time. It is designed for all ages to celebrate all things science, technology, engineering, nature, astronomy, etc. It will be held on Saturday the 5th and Sunday the 6th of August 2017 at the Adelaide Showground.
Tickets can be purchased online via its website. The cost is $15 per adult pre-purchased or $20 per adult at the door. All under the age of eighteen enter for free.
There will be 30-minute Australian native animal shows presenting a range of animals such as baby crocodile, python, boobook owl, dragon, gecko and goanna for you to have a closer look at.
There will be Fascinating Science exhibits on topics such as logic, balance, fluid and illusion. You can try unlinking loops, performing music with milk bottles and building a pyramid puzzle.
There will be Science On The Move explorations of themes such as human biology, light, force and motion. You can try turning yourself into a battery, cranking up a tornado and escaping from handcuffs.
