The biggest Science Event in the Southern Hemisphere
This August the Adelaide Showground will be transforming into a 'Sciencetastic' fair of all things science with the spectacular Science Alive Event which is promising to be bigger and better than ever this year!

The event helps to build community awareness of the scope and importance of science and technology, celebration of South Australia's successes and inspire future generations of science and technology professionals.

South Australia's Science Alive will feature over sixty exhibitors showcasing hands-on fun and interactive, dynamic and educational activities for all ages to enjoy.

The Key Attractions will include:

Questacon- There will be fun, interactive and relevant activities, games, two exhibits featuring Fascinating Science and Science on the Move.

Fascinating Science will be an event suited for children aged between 8-14 years and will include solving puzzles, 26 exhibits, 32 interactive experiences, logic, balance, fluids, illusions and mathematical puzzles, music, loops, human biology, force and motion, electricity, environment, human population, ecology, genetics and more.

Science on the Move will feature an intriguing exhibit that will engage the mind and body with activities including turning yourself into a battery, crank up a tornado in a bottle, escape from handcuffs, build a food chain, measure your fitness and much more.

Animals Anonymous- Native Animal Shows & Displays. This event will feature a 30-minute Australian native animal show with opportunities to take a look at a diverse range of tame native animals. This event will be held on both 4th & 5th August at 1pm and 3:30pm.

Bugs n Slugs- Is a hands-on invertebrate and nature education for all ages and it will feature a program of learning, activities, engaging and curriculum linked experiences. The event will be held both on 4th & 5th August at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm.

Curiosity Show will be suited for all ages and will feature legendary Australian science enthusiasts Professor Rob Morrison and Dr. Deane Hutton. The show will include tricks, some old favourites, timeless message of the wonders of hands-on science. The show will be held on 4th & 5th August at 11am and 3pm.

The Scientific Bubble Show will be loaded with entertainment with all things bubbles including Bubble Cubes, Sculptures, Bubble Rockets and Volcanoes, bubbly experiments for all ages, demonstrations and more. The show will also include backing music, plenty of bubble comedy and a chance for one lucky child to go inside the giant bubble. The Show will be held on both 4th & 5th August at 10am, 12 noon, 2pm and 4:30pm.

- Explosive Science Show will feature demonstrations exploring fuels, forces and flight, coloured fire and combustion reactions through liquid nitrogen and bubbling concoctions, and more. The show will be suited for all ages.

- Astronomy Experiences in huge Stardomes
- CSIRO- will feature major displays.

There will be so many events and activities at the Science Alive this year, making it one Event not to miss out on this August!
