Sci-Spy! 2011 - National Science Week

Home > Melbourne > Festivals | Community Events | Fun for Children
Ever wondered what an elephant brushes his teeth with? For the answer to that question and many more, head to Monash University's 'Sci-Spy' this weekend.

As a part of National Science week, Monash University Gippsland campus will hold a free community event this Sunday August 21st, exploring science in everyday life. Sci-Spy is an event for all ages and will include hands-on activities and live shows to demonstrate how science is an element in many unexpected parts of our lives.

If the promotional YouTube video is anything to go by, the kids will be treated to plenty of potion mixing and test-tube bubbling, which is quite likely to result in a lot of fun and perhaps some education too.

The campus itself is set amongst classic Gippsland landscape and provides a very tranquil setting for a country day out.

Sci-Spy will be held in the Auditorium at Monash University Gippsland Campus, located in Churchill, about a 2-hour drive from Melbourne. Free car parking and wheelchair access are available.
