School's out, let's party

Year 12 students from around the state are counting down the days till their end of the year party kicks off at scenic Victor Harbour. Known simply as Schoolies, the Festival transforms this quiet seaside town into party central for three days from November 16-18.
Schoolies is drug and alcohol free, although there are usually a few incidents each year (often blamed on older teenagers who sometimes follow the crowd down). Organisers have gone to great lengths to ensure events are supervised, and SAPOL have an increased presence in Victor Harbour to ensure everyone's safety.
The official website lists quite a line-up of bands including leading names such as Full Tote Odds, Indiago, and Sacred Stone. Organisers are promising an even better line-up than Schoolies 2011 so keep an eye on the website for late additions.
Buying an official ticket to Schoolies 2012 entitles you to ride the free Motor Accident Commission Schoolies Bus from Adelaide to Victor and return, plus travel to nearby locations including Encounter Bay, Port Elliot, Goolwa and Middleton.
There are still some vacancies at caravan parks and motels in the Victor Harbour area, so now is the time to book your ticket and get organised for this must-see party. Enjoy!
