These free 'talks' sound like they'll be well worth listening to. The Secular Sermon Series is put on by The City of Melbourne and The Wheeler Centre at various iconic venues around Melbourne. There is a different daily life theme for each 'sermon' and which will be presented by a well known local or international identity.

John Safran on Unrest
Known for 'pushing the envelope' popular comedian John Safran is the perfect conversationalist to discuss 'unrest'. This will be a conversation worth setting your alarm clock for.

Christine Kenneally is an award-winning journalist. She will explore 'lying' in contemporary culture.

Andrea Durbach on Vengeance
Author and human rights advocate Andrea Duffy will discuss vengeance and the different forms in which it is executed.

Craig Sherbourne on Being Ordinary
Writer Craig Sherbourne examines the feat of 'being ordinary' which could be quite an interesting discussion given that Australia is often linked to 'tall poppy syndrome'.
