How to keep the kids busy on holidays
I spent the morning with a girlfriend and her three year old son at Indigiscapes, the 14.5 hectare environmental and educational centre in Capalaba.
We spent several hours walking through the gardens, under the towering gums in the children's playground, and even managed to spoil ourselves with coffee and cake at the garden cafe. Yes, babycinos are on the menu.
This free, school holiday fun day looks great fun with activities including :
* water bug discovery
* nature scavenger hunt
* create craft with recycled materials
* plant bingo
* face painting
* biscuit making
* weaving with weeds
Having watched my friend's young one enjoy the open spaces of this beautiful area, amusing himself with bark from the Paper Bark trees, hiding amongst the shrubs and keenly searching the tall trees for koalas, I can imagine how enjoyable this day would be!
So write in your diary, Friday 3rd July, 2015, from 10 am to 2pm, at Indigiscapes, 17 Runnymede Road, Capalaba.
