Big time fun comes with big time responsibility. School Holiday Virtual Reality - Rec Room on Friday 25 January 2019 from 12.30pm to 12.55pm at Torrens Valley Community Centre, 45 Albert Street, Gumeracha is a fun, FREE event, with a variety of virtual reality experiences to be enjoyed.
Please REGISTER if you'd like to attend this school holiday event. Following are a few precautions that need to be taken into consideration, for those not initiated in Virtual Reality experience.
Content can be intense, immersive and lifelike
It could trigger increased heart rate, spikes in blood pressure, panic attacks, anxiety, PTSD, fainting and other adverse effects.
Your brain and body will react to what it perceives as reality.
If the product holds the trigger to cause you to react negatively, avoid using it.
Remember it's VR and simulated objects don't exist in the real world, so avoid trying to sit on a virtual chair that's not there.
Even if you don't have a history, VR products may trigger epileptic seizures, seizures, fainting or severe dizziness.
Children under 16 must come with a parent, guardian or carer consent and provide supervision to use the equipment during and after use.
Parental input and responsibility is required as to the type of experience they'd like their children to be exposed to, including it being inline with personal values.
