City of Greater Dandenong's Drum Theatre has three great shows during the school holidays and is part of the Greater Dandenong's Children's Festival. A good opportunity for mums that would like to introduce their children to theatre or for those young 'veteran' theatre goers. Opened in February 2006, this theatre holds 521 seats within its heritage facade of the former Dandenong Town Hall (built in 1890) and has since had many great shows for the community. Check out their website or their Facebook page to download their season brochure, find out about membership, volunteering and more.

The Fairytale Cookbook's format is all new and improvised. Created with the kids in mind, the audience interacts by helping cast actors, choosing the characters for the tales and guides the hero safely (or dangerously) through the adventure they create. It's a great way and a unique chance to interact with the show, to learn story telling techniques and create one of a kind stories that don't have to be repeated. Ticket price includes FREE kids' arts activities in the foyer before and after the show. FREE parking is also available with this show, if you request upon booking. The show is 55 minutes long with no interval. Family of four tickets are available for just $55, however these cannot be booked online. You have to contact the Box Office on 8571 1666 to arrange these tickets. Regular prices are as follows.

He promises to find her parents, but evil has other plans when Miss Hannigan's brother Rooster and his female friend pretend to be her parents which poses great danger for Annie. After great success with their recent sellout presentation of Cinderella, Promac Productions now brings you their hilarious version of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. This classic tale is brought into modern day with some amazing and very funny twists. These bears enter a singing competition, do an 'Elvis' impersonation and dance to the Barbie Bear song. It should have the kids and mums and dads rolling in gales of laughter in their seats. The show runs for 60 minutes with no intervals and the ticket price includes free kids art activities in the foyer before and after the shows. Again, family tickets must be purchased by calling the Box Office on 8571 1666 and cannot be bought online. Free parking is available with this show, so please request this on booking.
