Great for kids to learn new skills in a fun environment
Kids and teens can learn valuable skills and make cute items at classes run by smallthingsmade during the first week of October.

Run by Kirstin Burrowes, the classes give children from the age of six the opportunity to make a felt soft toy, do hand embroidery and make dreamcatchers.

A cross-stitch class is for those who are at least eight years old.

For kids aged 10 and up, the classes include making a petite skirt, tie shorts and a dress. Kids learn machine sewing during these classes.

Tie Shorts

The softies are a good way for young kids to learn to sew as they cut out the shape from four cut designs, learn how to decorate it with items such as buttons, decorative stitching and beads, then do blanket stitching around the outside, and fill the softie with stuffing.

Classes range in price from $35 to $110 (for the two day dress making class).

To book and find out more about individual classes see the smallthingsmade blog.
