The Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct's School Holiday Program is an action-packed holiday program offering daily activities for children aged five and older. Everything is taken care of, drop the kids off and let the highly qualified instructors facilitate the fun times, with all meals provided.

Programs vary each school holiday period and are designed to challenge each child to achieve positive outcomes, even after multiple visits. The highly trained instructors empower children to master new skills and reach new heights; the level of challenge is up to each individual child.



School holidays are a hop and a skip away for Queensland schools and the School Holiday Program is planning to kick off on Monday 19 December until Friday 23 December and recommencing on Wednesday 11 January to Friday 13 January 2023.
Please Note: the School Holiday Program is NOT running on Monday 9 January nor on Tuesday 10 January 2023!

The School Holiday Program at the Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct  runs two daily adventure sessions during the school holidays, jam-packed with energetic, stimulating, safe and fun activities. All sessions are led by friendly and professionally trained instructors.



Because every school holiday program varies, the adventures may include caving, archery, aerial adventures, raft building, circus skills, beach games, canoeing and even kite building.

The Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct runs morning and full day adventure sessions. Every session will include one or two activities, with some alternative activities available in the case of bad weather or extra-large groups. The full-day adventure combines both the morning and afternoon activities, with morning tea and/or lunch provided.



Session Times and Prices
*Morning Adventures
9.00 am to 12.00noon (three hours), $35.10 per person, includes morning tea; and
*Full day Adventures
9.00am to 3.30pm (six hours of fun), $74.50 per person, includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea

To prepare for your adventures, please bring -



Drop Off and Pick Up
Drop off is available from 8.30am. Sessions start at exactly 9.00am, so please allow sufficient time to park, complete the activity release form and pay (if you haven't already paid online or via phone call) at the sign-in desk.

Pick up is from reception between 12.00noon and 12:30pm for morning sessions, and between 3:30pm and 4.00pm at the end of the day. Parents/Guardians must provide photo ID for pick up and please sign their child out at reception. Please notify staff of any changes to ensure everyone's safety.

A selection of the most popular activities at the Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct are open to the public every Saturday throughout the year and Mondays to Saturdays during the Queensland school holidays. Activities are open from 8.30am to 4.30pm.



Indoor Rock Climbing, Swimming Pool and Indoor Courts

Rock climbing is one of the most popular activities at the Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct that is open to everybody, aged 5 and older, and is available every day of the school holidays and every Saturday between 8.30am and 4.30pm. Entry costs are $12.55 per person and include all equipment. Climbers must please wear enclosed shoes at all times.

The swimming pool at the Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct is another popular activity that is open on Saturdays and school holidays for $5.05 per person or $18.40 for a group of four. Swimmers of all ages are welcome to dive in; children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Shoot some hoops solo or join in a game of basketball, netball, volleyball and badminton on sprung wood indoor courts. The Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct also offer half and full court bookings for you and your mates! For daily availability please contact the Recreation Centre on this link.
