New to Canberra, I love exploring this city and the secrets that it holds with my family.
Take a detective walk at the Jerrabomberra Wetlands
Jerrabomberra Wetlands is located in Fyshwick, just south of the CBD. This industrial area has a surprising secret - it has an extensive wetlands area which is a refuge for migratory birds from all around Australia. These school holidays they will be hosting Bush and Waterbug Detectives, where kids aged between 5 - 13 put on their detectives hat and enjoy an easy walk with the Ranger to discover what animals live at the Jerrabomberra Wetlands. Using their senses, they will piece together all the clues. Kids will need sturdy shoes, hat, water bottle and be accompanied by an adult (no cost for adults). Some light healthy refreshments will be provided.
* Jerrabomberra Wetlands will also be running a Bush Treasures school holiday program on September 30th and a Clay Sculpting Workshop on October 6th.
