Head to the mall, with free activities for kids and cool air
Now that Christmas rush is done and dusted for another year, the stores are keen to get you back shopping again. And with plenty of sale bargains still in the shops, it is a good time to browse the stores. Another good reason to hang out at the mall is it is cool inside. But who likes shopping with bored kids in tow? Shopping centres are a great source of usually free events and activities to entertain your kids during the January holidays, but it takes a lot of tracking down to locate what is on. I have done the searching for you. So here is a quick handy guide to some of the activities on offer at a centre near you.

Arndale Shopping Centre
Arndale may not be the biggest shopping centre in town, but they are putting on a good selection of fun things to do with the kids this January. They seem to be suitable for younger children. They are having a carnival theme. Activities include pony rides, crafts, and decorating your soft serve ice cream at McDonalds. Check out the events on a day to suit you here.

Colannades Shopping Centre
Jan 17th-19th Sprout Cooking Classes. Sessions are at 11am and 12.30. Conditions apply and you need to book online here.

Jan 25th Aussie Animals day with animal magnet workshop. Not sure if there is a cost for this. There will also be free face painting on from 11am -2pm
