You can always rely on the Libraries for fun events to keep kids busy, especially during the school holidays. Whitehorse Manningham Libraries have a list of events the kids might enjoy, so check them out. Events begin from 29 June 2020 and go through to 10 July 2020. There's something for everyone, including adult events running during these timeframes. Stay in touch via their Facebook or website to stay updated about events.

On the events program you'll find the usual Crafty Games for ages 5 plus; Storytime for the 0-5 year olds; Story Squad for 7-12 year olds; Creative Club for 6-12 year olds and the Folkie Dokey Musical Puppet Show for ages 3-7. You'll find links to all these events HERE.

However, why not kick off the first day of events on Mon 29 Jun from 2-2.45pm with the Tim Credible Magic School for ages 5 and above. You need to REGISTER for this event and a meeting link will be emailed to you prior to the event.

Learn amazing tricks to entertain your friends and family and make sure you have the following items on hand to follow along. Small to medium-sized rubber bands. Some crayons. A deck of playing cards. A coin. A magic wand, or you could use a pencil or chopstick and such like.

Makerspace: Creative Paper Design is an activity suited to ages 8 and above and runs on Friday 3 July from 4-4.30pm. You need to BOOK for this online event and a YouTube link will be sent via email. Learn basic techniques and create fresh designs for stencils, mobiles, cards and much more. Let loose your creative side! All equipment provided and will be sent to you via the post. Make sure you entered your correct address when booking. No prior experience necessary.

The Escape the Library Virtual Escape Room on Wed 8 Jul from 11-11.30am is for the whole family. Enter the room HERE. Oh no, now you're trapped! Follow the clues to find a hidden key. Figure it out. Play solo, with friends or your family to solve the puzzles and escape the Library. This free event does not require registration. Take the quiz at any time. Teams with the highest scores will be announced on Harry Potter's 40th birthday 31/7/2020 via the Facebook page.

If all those activities have made you hungry, join the Online Sushi Making for children ages 6-12. Join Hayley as she guides you to make Japanese Sushi together. This event has two sessions on Thursday 9 July. Session one is from 11-12pm and Session two is from 1-2pm.
