School Holiday Cake Decorating Classes

Join Jeanine Brown at Artistry In Icing for some fun, tasty and creative cake decorating classes these school holidays and beyond with classes offered on weekdays, weekends and after hours for children or adults.

Some of the following will be offered during and after the holidays, why not try your hand at hand folded sugar flowers in new, short -2 lesson courses, or longer courses for the experienced and not so experienced. Pictured below are some ideas.

 

Jeanine is a registered Food Technology (Home Economics) teacher with over 25 years' experience as a teacher of secondary, primary and adult students. Classes are offered in a number of venues including a new one in Glen Waverley and the latest addition POINT COOK.

ALL EQUIPMENT AND ICINGS ARE SUPPLIED FOR CUPCAKE CLASSES BUT STUDENTS MUST BRING A BOX AND CAKES TO DECORATE.

 

* Cupcakes – Girlie Flower Power - NEW

  • Learn to pipe leaves using buttercream

  • Learn how to pipe a sunflower

  • Create 2 different styles of rose, contemporary and traditional, using gum paste

  • Make gum paste leaves

    Fondant Birdie Cake (Beginners 12 yrs and up)

    In this 3 to 4 hour class:

  • Learn the basics of covering a Chocolate Mud Cake and board with fondant

  • Create the cute birdie cake toppers

  • Learn basic appliqué techniques using fondant and small gum paste flowers.

    * Cupcakes - Mixed Design

    A beginner class designed for ages 8 and up. In this 2 hour class, students will be able to create a range of colourful and vibrant cupcake decorations using icing, lollies and other embellishments.

    * Cupcakes - Level 1

     

    A beginner class designed for ages 8 and up.

    In this 1.5 to 2 hour class, students will learn to pipe buttercream with a variety of piping tubes and be creative with lollies.

    * Cupcakes - Level 2

    A beginner and intermediate class designed for ages 10 and up.

    In this 2 to 2.5 hour class, students will use various types of icing, including buttercream and modelling paste with a range of piping tubes, and will also create small decorative flowers and modelled characters.

    Students are required to bring cupcakes along; cake decorating materials and equipment will be provided.

    Chocolate Modelling

    A beginner class designed for ages 10 and up.

    In this 2 hour class, students will learn how to hand told a range of cute chocolate creations. Bows and roses or a cute bunny.

    All materials and equipment will be provided - students just need to bring a box to take their chocolates home.

     

  • Slightly more advanced class for ages 12 and up

  • Learn the use of fondant to create designs

  • Learn how to construct and pipe the puppycake using buttercream

    50 % deposit is required to secure a place and full payment is required 1 week prior to class.

    Individual Private Lessons are available – Individual attention, decide your time and place and what you wish to learn $75 per hour with a 2 hour minimum
