The Shrine of Remembrance is a perfect place to take school aged children (ages 6-12 years) these April school holidays. Between the 5th April and 20th April 2014 come along for a unique learning experience.

The Shrine of Remembrance, located off Birdwood Drive and St Kilda Road, Melbourne has a Family Activity Trail these April school holidays. The trail leads you through the Shrine's building, it's gardens and its monuments whilst teaching children about Australia's military history.

Learn about the different jobs that both men and women performed during wartime and the roles that animals played also during these times.

There is also the opportunity to participate in a commemorative ceremony which features the Ray of Light.

Families who complete the Activity Trail, which takes between 45 minutes to an hour, each receive an ANZAC biscuit at the completion of the trail and receive an entry to go into a draw to win a $50 gift pack from the Shrine's gift shop.

The Activity Trail can be completed from 10am till 4pm with the Activity Trail and map able to be picked up from the Visitor Centre shown on the following map . The Shrine is open from 10am until 5pm daily.

For more information, please visit the Shrine of Remembrance website.

The activity is free however gold coin donations are most welcome.
