When it's wet and cold and not very appealing outside, where are you going to take a bunch of energetic children who wish to be entertained these school holidays? Well, let me give you a few ideas. Stay nice and warm and have some fun with some of these options.
Go to the movies.
This may seem like the most obvious option but then there's the question: well what should we watch?
Despicable Me 2 (PG) has reached cinemas and is hilarious! It is fun for all ages to watch and will keep children amused throughout the entire 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Another option is Monsters University (G), which is a prequel to Monsters Inc. Although I haven't seen it, it is definitely on my list! This is a fun filled comedy which is sure to give you a giggle and allow you to have fun indoors.
Epic (PG) is a movie that will astonish and entertain you with amazing animation and an adventurous story. It also spans an hour and 30 minutes which is just enough time to enjoy a movie without sitting for too long. This is a movie that should be seen by all who are interested in animation.
So far all the movies I have listed are animated, but then again that is my genre of choice, however, for these holidays it looks like animation is the only option for the younger audiences.
Fun for the young and young at heart.
Laser Skirmish is such a fun and energetic game that can include all the family. In this cold winter weather this is a great activity to do which involves, running, hiding and playing as a team. So why not make a day out of it? There are many places around Adelaide which you can go to, including:
Laserzone - David Witton Dr, Noarlunga Centre Lightstrike - Mobile Laser Tag, King William St M9 Laser Skirmish - Corner Cross & Goodwood Rd, Westbourne Park - 819 Port Road, Woodville
Bowling is also a fun option which can be enjoyed as a group, both for adults and children. Or maybe something more educational with a day trip to Museum! A day filled with dinosaurs and mummies can be really enjoyable. All school holiday activities are also free, so why not take advantage and give the kids a tour.
Make this winter holiday fun indoors for both you and your children.
