Who doesn't love cookies? It's even better if you have made them yourself, so you can look at them proudly before you gobble them all up. Getting teens into baking and decorating can be difficult sometimes. They either love it or hate it. But giving them the chance to try and decorate some yummy cookies might just spark their fire.



These classes are nice and small, so they are safer for COVID reasons and the children have the chance to get enough attention to thrive in the classroom. Everything is provided for them, all they have to do is show up. They get the chance to decorate 6 pre-made cookies whilst there to either eat immediately or take them home with them.

Along with the 6 handmade cookies, they are taught how to roll fondant to a thin enough degree to complement the cookie without overpowering the taste of the cookies. You want to be able to taste the subtle flavours of the cookie without the sickly sweet fondant being too much. The teens get to cut the fondant and decorate them with sprinkles, edible glitter, cutters, edible paint and more for them to experiment with. After the class, they get a recipe book to take home, so hopefully, they will be willing to make some cookies for the whole family when they get home.

Whilst the teens and kids are taking part, there are plenty of cafes and even a library so parents aren't forced to hover at the back of the class awkwardly. The teacher has a working with children check.

Classes start at 10am on Friday April 22nd in Inglewood. Tickets start at $71.50 but if you have more than one child wanting to go, you can get a little discount so everyone can participate.
