Where to find a school fete near you
As the weather (hopefully) warms up, we head into school fete season, and with that in mind, this is a list of some of the biggest and best school fetes and community events until the end of the year.

SVACS Family Fun Day
The Swan Valley Anglican Community School Family Fun Day has something for everyone. There will be market stalls with crafts and handmade goods, games and activities, demonstrations from community groups including police, fire brigade and sporting clubs plus plenty of food tents and sweet options such as fresh doughnuts, cakes, fairy floss and popcorn along with tea and coffee.

Have fun with old favourites such as bucking sheep, bouncy castles, Cuddy Animal Farm and face painting or tip a bucket of water over the head of a local teacher or community member. There will even be a side show alley, all-day entertainment and music including Courtney Murphy and his Band.

St Marys World Fair

St Marys World Fair
The St Marys World Fair comes only once every five years, and this year they are celebrating their 95th anniversary so it will be bigger than ever. There will be a farmers market, second-hand books, succulents and herbs, handmade bath bombs, a chocolate wheel, Halloween crafts and more. There will also be a huge sideshow area with rides, games and show bags and the famous international food market showcasing cuisines from around the world.

An enormous day out on the oval of Secret Harbour Primary School with over 120 market stalls, plus all day entertainment, raffles, rides, a kids corner and much more.

Kensington Primary School Twilight Fete
Celebrate Kensington Primary's 90th anniversary with a huge fete with all the old favourites such as pre-loved books, clothing and toys, craft activities, solar car racing, food vans, rides and games, sports, face painting as well as some exciting Halloween surprises.

Wembley Downs District Fair

Wembley Downs District Fair
A perennial favourite on the fete calendar, the Wembley Downs District Fair brings together community and school groups from across the area, with a huge range of market stalls, show rides, performances and entertainment and more. With some traditional favourites such as homemade jams and pickles and second-hand books and toys to the excitement of climbing walls and the fun of petting zoos, the District Fair is always a fun day for the whole family.

Baldivis Fair

Baldivis Country Fair
The Baldivis Country Fair is a popular family-friendly event with a huge day of live entertainment, rides and attractions, farm animals, face painting, community and commercial stalls, fresh food and licensed bar and more.

Kwinana Festival Fair Day
One of the biggest days in the Kwinana events calendar, this free family-friendly event will have rides, market stalls, plenty of entertainment as well as fireworks to end the event.

Matthew Gibney CPS Fair
A traditional school fete with rides, raffles, food stalls and more raising money for the Primary School. There will also be a car show and a car wash.

Mount Helena Christmas Fete
It's never too early to get organised for Christmas and the fete at Mount Helena might be what you need to get you in the festive mood. With a range of craft and market stalls, entertainment, workshops and exhibitions as well as competitions, food and more, it will be a fun family day out.

Celebrate Ashburton Primary's 30th anniversary with a huge family friendly day on the school oval. There will be lots to see and do including market stalls, car show, historical display, live entertainment, fun photo ops, a giant donut eating challenge, arts and crafts, a silent auction and lots of exciting raffle prizes to be won.

Halidon Primary "1980s" Fete
Get in the 80s mood with a throwback to the year Halidon Primary first opened as they celebrate their anniversary with a retro-themed fete. There will be plenty of market and craft stalls, a plant stall, sideshow alley games and rides, second-hand books, plenty of food options including high tea and pulled pork rolls plus lots more.

This fete is for everyone foodies will love the great range of gourmet and international foods on offer, kids will love the petting zoo, rides, games and showbags and everyone will enjoy the market stalls and all-day entertainment. There will Christmas stalls, plants and herbs, lolly stall, face painting, lucky dip, henna, second hand and lots more.

Bringing together the local school and community, the Scarborough Twilight Market will have a range of local market stalls with arts and crafts, fashion, jewellery, fresh and gourmet food and beverages plus live music to enjoy the balmy evening. There will be a special children's corner with entertainment and much more.

Osborne Park Agricultural Show
Running since 1914, the Osborne Park Agricultural Show is like a mini-Royal Show with exhibitions of animals, produce, log chopping, displays and more as well as sideshow rides and entertainment and showbags. The highlight of both days is the closing fireworks, and they promise the displays will be even more spectacular than ever. (Ticketed event)
