At Schnitz Rockhampton, it's not only schnitzels on the menu. They offer a big menu, to suit everyone's palate.

Walking inside which is located on Shop F06, Stockland, 120 - 331 Yaamba Road, Rockhampton, this place is dominated by wood d├ęcor making it look very cosy. Inside the shop, there are some comfy sofas enough for 4 people otherwise you can use the big table that can cater for large group bookings. There is also an option to sit and have a meal outside on the terrace.

Roman Dyduk is the man behind Schnitz. The Polish-born Roman ran restaurants for thirty years, and schnitzels always topped the menu. So, in 2007 Roman opened a restaurant entirely devoted to his signature dish, Schnitz.

While we were waiting for our order to be ready, we could hear all the action in the kitchen because, at Schnitz, the schnitzels are made fresh to order - hand dipped in egg wash, coated in crumbs and pan-cooked until golden brown. They always use the traditional way, the Schnitz way. All raw ingredients are prepared in-store, by hand, every day, to guarantee freshness. It might take a while to prepare your dish, but you can guarantee the freshness of your order.

My suggestion is to order a nice drink while waiting for your meal to be served, enjoy the ambience of this place and have a good chat. Schnitz offers a wide range of drinks, from beers, wine and soft drinks.

At last, our order arrived, and the servings were very generous. The salad was fresh and crunchy, there were no soggy vegetables. The Chicken schnitzels were succulent with the toppings giving extra flavour. The chips are loaded with flavour and seasoning.

One thing that I like about Schnitz is that we can tailor our order to our taste or food requirements, such as gluten-free options, or you can choose any toppings that you like. Follow on their F acebook page for a special deal or new menu.
