If you love chicken then I am sure you have heard of Schnitz. It is a delicious eat in and takeaway style restaurant which serves beautifully cooked pan fried chicken schnitzels and mouthwatering chips. If chicken is not your favourite meat, Schnitz also offers beef and fish alternatives. If you are vegetarian, rest assured Schnitz has your needs covered.
From salads to parmas there is something for everyone at this delicious venue. It is my favourite place to eat when I want something that tastes like a treat but is still healthy enough that I don't feel guilty. Kids can enjoy Schnitz too with tasty smaller portions which can be made to go or eat in.
Most Schnitz venues offer sit in dining which can be found in most food courts around Melbourne, however there are some stores which don't offer this such as Parkmore, in Keysborough.
Schnitz is one of my favourite restaurants because it is really laid back there and the food is always presented well without being fancy, and you always get good value for money.
My favourite item on the menu at Schnitz is the plain and simple chicken wrap with a side of chips. They are salted to perfection and definitely taste better than regular hot chips from other places.
If you just want something small to sample from this place, I recommend a schnitzel stick which is a generous piece of schnitzel on a stick. I usually order this as a side dish, although I can rarely finish it all.
Schnitz is the best place to catch up with friends and family for a meal as I believe it is affordbale, great quality food. The venues are always clean and staff are happy to assist you in any way.
