What do you get when you mix art with problem solving, exploring on foot and gathering clues? The Scavenger Snaps event of course! On Saturday the 18th April a fun afternoon of photography with a twist will have you exploring the many streets and laneways of Brisbane you never knew existed! Scavenger Snaps is a photography scavenger hunt held in the heart of the city. You are given a variety of clues before you are set free to roam the city in order to solve the clues and find the required item. Once found, you upload your photos online to show the many hidden sights Brisbane has to offer. Your best snaps can be entered into the competition to be featured in the official Scavenger Snaps showcase.



The crusade commences at 1pm and can be started anytime before 4pm. Meeting point is at Wickham Park in Spring Hill. Entrants can go it alone or make it a combined effort with fellow frolickers and budding photographer friends. The event is free and forms part of the annual U.R{BNE} Festival.



The U.R{BNE} is a non-profit collective, created by urban designers and community members passionate about Brisbane's public spaces. The name stands for "U. R. Brisbane", and was initially established to create local conversations and involvement around Brisbane. The initiative encourages greater understanding of how urban places are designed, building pride and interest in Brisbane's places and generally livening up this beautiful city of ours!
