Northside Community Service and Cyclabilities are excited to launch the 'Connected Community Scavenger Hunt 2020' this Friday 19th June 2020!
It's FREE to get involved in this 10 day event and there are heaps of prizes to be won! People of all ages and all abilities are welcome to participate too!
The scavenger hunt will bring people across the ACT and region together to connect, engage, enjoy and celebrate the uniqueness, longevity, and versatility of Canberra and its surrounds.
Participants are encouraged to snap daily photos, create videos, draw, paint or in another creative way share their scavenger hunt challenge artwork whilst boosting social connection and physical activity.
The 'Connected Community Scavenger Hunt' will run for 10 days from the 19th to 28th of June 2020. New challenges will be posted on Facebook over the course of ten days and include tasks to see, hear, look and discover Canberra whilst being physically active. All entrants have the opportunity to win Healthy Active Family Fitness Packs, which include vouchers and goodies, as well as a main prize to be drawn at the end of June.
Whether you are a school, a family group, an individual, a community group or sporting group, getting out and embracing Canberra is key. Using your creativity with challenges means that all groups and individuals can make the challenge their own.
Interested participants can join the event at Facebook.com/events/258928018752532 and share their photos using #scavengerhuntcbr on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
Cyclabilities bring social inclusion and practical skill development to sporting and social activities for those living with a disability in the Canberra community. Cyclabilities' primary goal is to help participants develop the tools and provide the environment to gain strong social connections through access and inclusion.
