Perched on a cliff, the is about an hour and 20 minutes by car from Sydney, NSW. It is the ultimate example of NSW's love of the seaside life and is an excellent coastal destination to show off to overseas friends.

My boyfriend and I came here a few weeks ago (after our stay in Bundanoon). We had just travelled the winding mountain roads from Bundanoon to Robertson and were feeling ill. It was hot and we were sick of being in the car. But as soon as we stepped into the for lunch and caught sight of a plate of fresh oysters, all was forgotten.

What makes the successful is that it has something for everyone. In front of the hotel is a large grassy area, called Seacliff Gardens, which is pet friendly and contains sheltered picnic tables. For birthdays or functions, the Quarry Room is available for up to 30 people. In the main section of the hotel, the Horizon Balcony is the spot to watch for passing whales. And those in the mood for coffee can steer towards the hotel's Fort Cafe.
