Nurture your creativity and expression
Theatre is a great way to divert excessive energy and build confidence during childhood. It also encourages empathy, improves resilience, and facilitates creative thinking and freedom of expression.

The South Australian Youth Arts Theatre Co. (SAYarts) holds weekend and after school theatre workshops for everyone, from children at the age of five, through to adults. These classes are built around theatre games, improvisation, exploring scripts and self-devising.

SAYarts are strong believers in theatre and creativity as essential to enriching a child's life. The arts fosters positive connections and experiences; children also learn and develop skills that support their social and emotional development through a connection with the arts. It's a great way to meet new people and form friendships.

Myths and legends being retold

Each course is run under the guidance of Sean Riley, the Artistic Director, and Creative Producer Rebecca Pannell, who lead a team of theatre professionals, passionate about sharing their experiences and knowledge of stagecraft.

Students in each class work together to achieve a performance outcome, which culminates in a show and tell at the end of the term.

Find out more about SAYarts on their website; or contact Rebecca Pannell on 0400 202 399 or via email bec.pannell@sayarts.com.au.
