Delicious food and beverages to sample and purchase, local produce, cooking demonstrations and live entertainment.

Get your taste buds ready! Hawkesbury Council’s Savour the Flavour is back, bigger and better and set to transform Richmond Park into an exciting food and beverage hub on Saturday, 14 October 2023 from 4 pm to 9 pm. Entry is free.

Everyone is invited to this special one-day event that celebrates Hawkesbury's past and present as the original 'food bowl' of Sydney. This year's event is extended to 9 pm to allow plenty of time to relax and enjoy the wonderful local food, produce and Hawkesbury setting.

Held on a spring afternoon, come along and enjoy a delicious line-up of bustling stalls offering food, produce and beverages to sample and buy - including fresh produce, apple pies, fresh and barbecued meats, pizza, bush tucker, honey, desserts, organic food, jams, juices, alcoholic beverages and more.

Local restauranteurs and producers will also be presenting live cooking demonstrations on-stage. Plus there will be live entertainment to enjoy including face painting, outdoor lawn games and rides.

The Hawkesbury Regional Gallery will hold its popular Leonardo da Vino workshops and the Secret Garden will host fun and interactive kids’ workshops. The event is free entry however tickets to the workshops will be available to purchase in mid-September. Keep an eye out on Council’s website for more information on these workshops.

The popular souvenir glasses are also available for sale once again and there is also a new souvenir item, a bright pink kids cup which will also be for sale at the Hawkesbury Visitor Information Centre, the Hawkesbury Central Library, the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery and Hawkesbury Regional Museum and Council’s Administration Building

Getting to Richmond is easy. It’s a 90-minute train ride from the Sydney CBD. It’s also close to the Richmond Road M7 turnoff. Parking is available at Hawkesbury Showground, Richmond Marketplace and around the town centre. Peppercorn Services also will be offering those needing accessible transport, a shuttle bus service from the Hawkesbury Showground to Richmond Park.
