There will be heaps of genres including the following:
Food and wine
Health and wellbeing
Young adults - teenagers
Collectible - old
Thousands of books on offer
There will also be CDs, LPs, DVD, and sheet music, and all will be at bargain prices and if you want a real bargain, make sure you attend on the Tuesday, as books are all half price then.
BUT WAIT - THERE'S MORE! On the Wednesday, which is the last day of this fantastic book sale, you can fill a whole box for just $15 - imagine! This makes them even less than half price, as Save the Children do not want to have any left over and have to take them back to their depot.
Save the Children can also now accept EFTPOS/credit card payments at this sale, so you can charge it if you do not have cash - no need to go to an ATM for this sale.
Gigantic book sale!
SAVE THE CHILDREN STC is an International company who aid vulnerable children both here in Western Australia, throughout Australia and around the world. Seventy percent of monies collected from this sale will go to Western Australian programmes including areas like Gosnells, Armadale, Kununurra, and the Dampier Peninsula.
The remaining funds will be divided amongst other programmes being run by Save the Children throughout the world. Save the Children believe that every child deserves a bright future, so they work hard to make sure nothing gets in their way. They go to the toughest places to save children from earthquakes, cyclones, conflict and disease. Where children are being exploited, neglected or abused, they protect them from harm.
Children deserve the chance to take on the world, have an education, a healthy start in life and the chance to go further than they ever dreamed possible. You can therefore be assured that the funds from the books you buy, will go a long way to help children everywhere.
VOLUNTEERS Volunteers are needed to help with this task, so please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are able to volunteer for this worthy organisation.
Save the Children also need reliable volunteers at their pop-up secondhand Mirrabooka Bookshop - they need people who can commit to at least one 3 hour shift per week, so please email email@example.com if you are able to help out there.
The Sale will be held at the University of WA, Stirling Highway, Crawley, under the clock tower.
