Fancy a bit of sausage and a cider?

Cider season is here. How do we know? Well, apart from grasping at any excuse to drink cider, the Last Jar in partnership with Mountain Goat, Bicardi Lion, Magners Irish Cider, Harcourt and St Ronan's Ciders is hosting a Sausage and Cider festival.

Properly named the Sausage and Cider Taste Festival, the event will feature ciders from each of the above cider houses, paired with a variety of home-made sausages made by Last Jar Head Chef Tim Sweeney.

The cider fest aims to turn the Last Jar's rooftop garden into an Irish street fair, with music from Anne of the Wolves and sausages lovingly nestled in potato-bread buns.

There will also be sausage-making demonstrations from Sausages Made Simple's Sara Grazia. Guests who just can't handle the display of culture can view the running of the Caulfield Cup in the private function room.

The event runs from 1pm – 6pm on Saturday 25 October. There is free entry and guests of all ages are welcome.
