Saudade – Portuguese Custard Tarts, Central Market

Following the success of their Mitcham Square Shopping Centre branch, Saudade has opened a second branch at Adelaide Central Market offering Portuguese Custard Tarts. The tarts are all prepared onsite. If they wish, customers can watch the process of the Custard Tarts getting made and baked.

The Custard Tarts can be ordered in either their regular size or a miniature version. The pastry of the tarts was crisp and light and the custard filling had a smooth texture. The custard was not too sweet and was baked sufficiently to give it a bit of a golden-brown colour. If they wish, customers can choose to have cinnamon sprinkled onto their custard tarts.



For something to enjoy with their tarts, Saudade offers various drinks. Coffee can be ordered as a combo deal with the tarts. Its location at the Grote Street entrance to Adelaide Central Market makes it convenient for shoppers to drop by for their delicious custard tarts.
