has all the important attributes of a classic Melbourne lunch spot. It's down a laneway (Punch Lane off Lonsdale St), it has great fresh food at reasonable prices and it's a cosy, unique establishment that oozes cool without even trying.

The restaurant takes its name from the nickname for Jazz legend Louis Armstrong. As you step down into the den you'll notice the music playing, in conjunction with the interior, creates an atmosphere somewhere between funky and relaxed. It's great inside on a rainy day or a nice place to sit outside, away from the bussle of the the city when the weather's fine.

My favourite part of , though, is the food. It's fresh and simple comfort food with great dishes done well. The chicken burger was so good, it was hard to go back to try something new and not just go back for the burger time and time again. The coffee is great as well, which is a Melbourne must. I haven't visited for breakfast but the breakfast menu looks great if you're around the CBD early and looking for a breakfast or brunch.

In terms of lunch options, there's some great looking pre-made wraps, focaccias or sweet treats if you're wanting to grab and go. Otherwise you can order a range of hot or cold dishes from the menu board.

The restaurant is relatively new on the scene, having only been around since the middle of 2012 but it's steadily gaining some loyal regulars. The service is really friendly and it's just a place you'd be happy to hang around for the afternoon.

I highly recommend taking a wander down Punch Lane and finding for yourself.
