Satay is a traditional Malay and Indonesia skewered marinated meats. It is generally dipped in a chunky peanut sauce served with ketupat (rice cake) and some slices of shallots and cucumbers. For halal ones, you could order a plate of beef, mutton, or chicken satays. For a more modern version, it includes prawn and squid satays.
