Satay Hut Restaurant
Tasty South Bank al fresco dining

Satay Hut offers a tasty and varied pan-Asian menu with attractive and generous portions tailored to the western palate. From dumplings, noodles and soup; to chicken satay, curries and crispy duck, there is something for everyone in the office.

Satay Hut is a good place to visit in the evening if you can't decide if you would prefer Thai, Malaysian or Chinese cuisine, and it's an even better place to go for some escapism on your lunch break. Here you can take your taste buds on a mouthwatering trip through Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Peking or even outer Mongolia - in less than 60 minutes.

Satay Hut has an excellent week day lunch deal which offers some of the most popular main dishes for only $10.90 each. There are even 3 good vegetarian options.

Choose from this mouthwatering selection

I am slowly, but surely working my way through all the options in the lunch deal. Here I have sampled one of the tastiest Lemon chickens I have eaten in Australia. Just the right mix of sweet and sour for my palate, though for those on a diet, a stir fry would be a healthier option, as the lemon chicken is battered.

Lemon chicken and Mongolian beef are two delicious options

On my latest visit I tried the Mongolian Beef with rice, which was a hearty option for something a bit different, guaranteed to satisfy your appetite and warm you up from the inside out. Another yummy but heavily battered option is the In Ci Ayam with rice - battered chicken with a tasty peanut satay sauce.

Depending on your preference you can choose to sit outside for your regular al fresco South Bank dining experience or for something a bit different why not move inside to one of the booths for more intimacy, warmth or just to marvel at the hypnotic sparkling starlight ceiling?

Satay Hut is a good dining option if you can't decide on where to catch up with a friend or go for that overdue work lunch, as there is sure to be something here to suit everyone in the office.

The service at Satay Hut is always friendly, fast and efficient. Ideal to take the stress out of squeezing in a good meal on your working day lunch hour. Satay Hut's excellent, varied and good value lunch menu will keep your taste buds and wallet smiling all day long.
